“The first step to having healthy skin is knowing and understanding your skin type,” says…
Meet Taylor Kane, Our New Nurse Practitioner
Taylor Kane, NP-C, has joined Price Skin Care Clinic as a nurse practitioner.
“We’re thrilled to have Taylor on staff at Price Skin care Clinic,” said Richard Price, M.D. of Price Skincare Clinic in Ridgeland, MS. “Taylor brings extensive nursing experience to her role as a nurse practitioner which includes skin care health, diagnosis and treatment.”
A native of Greenwood, Mississippi, Taylor earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Delta State University and her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of South Alabama. She has experience with several Mississippi hospitals in several areas of nursing including medical-surgical, gynecology-oncology, administration, and acute & geriatric psychiatric nursing.
“I chose a career in nursing because I wanted a more hands-on approach with my patients,” said Taylor. “I love knowing that at the end of each day, I’ve helped someone: whether it be in laughter, advice, or something as simple as clearing up acne before senior prom. I also love knowing that I work with a great team who helps me provide Christ-centered care for each and every patient.”
Taylor has been trained in skin care health, diagnosis, and treatment under Dr Price.
“My role as a nurse practitioner at Price Skincare Clinic is screening for skin cancers and atypical moles,” she said. “That includes biopsies, diagnosis of skin diseases and treatment plans for conditions such as rosacea, acne, psoriasis, eczema, etc; and positive reinforcement of skin care regimens.”
Taylor is a member of the Mississippi Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, and is certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
She and husband, Jarrod, are parents to a daughter named Vivi Claire and are active members of Crossgates Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoys cooking and baking, which comes in handy, because as Taylor puts it: “Food is definitely a love language not to be ignored in this clinic!”
